Winscribe is chosen to deliver Clinical Correspondence to help achieve CIP targets.
Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust to roll out Winscribe Text trust-wide
After a competitive selection process, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) chose Winscribe Text as their enterprise-wide Clinical Correspondence solution. Winscribe has been selected to help drive the trust’s service improvement programme for outpatient correspondence and letter production – signing a 5-year agreement.
The aim of the project is to increase the efficiency of the letter production process, by deploying a speech-enabled Clinical Correspondence solution. This project will also aid in speeding up turnaround times and enhance patient care, whilst reducing and minimising the cost of the letter production process.
Sheena Wallace, Divisional General Manager (Women, Children and Sexual Health) and project sponsor at RCHT said:
“Winscribe offered a single integrated platform, which will not only integrate and interface well with our existing HP Swift PAS and IMS Maxims EPR, but will also support a range of other clinical systems in use. Their strength in workflow and making the letter production process paperless gives us great confidence that we will achieve our letter production targets and efficiency savings over the next few years.”
Work on the project is already under way. It is anticipated that the solution will be available to select users before year end, and the entire Trust will have access to Winscribe Text over the next 12 months.
The Trust are very keen to deploy Winscribe Text and have found the company team very helpful in identifying our inefficient processes and engaging the clinicians and administration teams across the Trust.
Colin Howman, Business Development Director at Winscribe, commented:
“It’s a great pleasure to have been selected by Royal Cornwall Hospitals, as they have a strong team and a very clear vision of the journey they are on. Being selected after an in-depth procurement process has shown that the Winscribe platform continues to lead the way in the NHS.”
